Netherlands Antilles 2025 - Caribbean Guilder - New coin families

Two new coin families will start circulating by march 2025.

The design of the new Caribbean Guilder draws inspiration from the 'World Under the Sea'.
Fish swim freely, seeing no borders. This serves as a metaphor for the unity shared between the countries of Curaçao and Sint Maarten within its monetary union.
The coins will circulate interchangeably on Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

Netherlands Antilles 5 gulden 2013 - Colour flags

New circulating commemoratives:

These two 5 gulden coins have been released in base metal. They are exactly the same, but bear the small coloured flags of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

This 2013 year is supposed to be the last for Netherlands Antilles coinage, which will be replaced by the Caribbean guilder, the proposed currency of the Caribbean countries of Curaçao and Sint Maarten.

Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba 1 dollar 2011

Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba were part of the Netherlands Antilles until the country's dissolution on 10 October 2010, when the islands became special municipalities within the country of the Netherlands.

Since January 1, 2011, the U.S. dollar has been the official currency, replacing the Netherlands Antillian Guilder.

This coin is a legal tender 1 dollar 2011 coin issued by the Royal Dutch Mint. The coin comes with a box and certificate of Authenticity.

Netherlands Antilles 5 gulden 2004 & 2005

For several years, no one seems to have seen these 2 misterious base metal types (KM74.1 and KM76.1). The respective silver issues are known since long.
Now scan is available, thanks to Wolfgang Schuster. Maybe we'll see them soon available at the numismatic market.
