"Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn"
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn is generally considered one of the greatest painters in European art history and the most important in Dutch history.
On 15 July 2006 it will be exactly 400 years since Rembrandt Van Rijn was born in Leiden. To honour this master of the Golden Age, the Royal Dutch Mint will issue a silver commemorative coin commissioned by the Ministry of Finance.
