Spain 5 euro 2010 - Cities: Almería & Huesca

The Spanish Mint started in 2010 a nice collection of 52 silver proof pieces dedicated to the Spanish provinces' capital cities.
These are legal tender coins, with a face value of 5 euros but a purchase value of 30.
As I consider them very nice items, and although I won't own them (well, maybe the Bilbao one), I decided to start a series of posts in this blog, to show the coins, coats of arms, and some nice pictures of the places represented.

Coins #1 and #2: "Almería and Huesca"



Almería belongs to the homonymous province of Almería, in the autonomous community of Andalucía. Huesca is the capital city of Huesca province, in the autonomous community of Aragón. Here are bigger images of their coats of arms:

New bimetallic circulating commemorative to commemorate 1st of five major milestones in Malta's constitutional history.:

"First elected representatives of 1849"

This coin is the first of a series of five coins to be issued over a period of five years to commemorate major milestones in Malta's constitutional history. This first coin commemorates the election in 1849 of the first Maltese representatives to the Council of Government advising the British Governor. Malta had been a British colony since the 1814 Treaty of Paris.
