Finland 5 euro 2012 - Provincial Buildings: Lapland

New bimetallic commemorative:

"Lumberjack's Candle Bridge"

Currently regarded as Rovaniemi's foremost landmark, this bridge is named after its two tall columns which, with their bright lights, resemble lumberjack's candles - logs sawn in two with a fire in between. A coffee pot won't stay on top of these lumberjack's candles, but they do illuminate the slopes of Ounasvaara hill and the surge of the River Kemijoki also during the darkest time of the year.
