Singapore 2013 - New coin family

By mid-2013, new coins will be circulating in Singapore. The third series of coins will feature images of national icons and landmarks, replacing the floral designs of current coins. The new set will also have enhanced security features such as electro magnets so they can be differentiated from fakes and foreign coins.

  1. These new designs were the work of Fabian Lim, a Singaporean designer. The Monetary Authority of Singapore emailed this information in response to my question.
